To participate in trade fairs has become one of the most efficient marketing tools companies presently resort to. A remarkable growth in the number of trade fairs was observed in the last few years, both in Brazil and worldwide, covering the most varied sectors and products. Many issues contribute to the success of trade fairs in the commercial and marketing strategies of companies: low cost in comparison to other advertising; possibility to be present as institution and to project its image to a selected audience; direct contact with many clients in the same place; opportunity to analyze competitors and their own product, checking, at the same time, price, technology, design, market position and all other items which are concerned with marketing and sales areas; opportunity to observe new products and commercial strategies, achieving a know-how that will lead to the development of the businessman, the company and the market as a whole.
